It’s Round Two Of Drop Dead x Sega

Not so long ago Drop Dead dropped a Sega Megadrives classics collection, received with delight by nineties-ophiles everywhere. The Steel City apparel makers came back for round two this weekend with a special edition range of Sonic The Hedgehog gear.

Bomber jackets, collared dresses and pleather backpacks sure feels like DD are upping the ante from previous collaborations in an attempt to push their fashion credibility. Honestly, it seems like it’s working thanks to the Japanese inspired lettering, all-over prints and very kawaii twists on Tails.

We went shopping and wish listed the following…

HATW Launch New Range Including The Gospel Youth Collaboration

hatw 1

Heads Above The Waves are fighting the good fight to help young people deal with their daily struggles, funding their work through their well-designed and well-stocked store. Having just launched their new range, the Welsh NPO has also teamed up with The Gospel Youth on a brand new tote bag.

The tote coincides with the premiere of their single ‘Wildfire’ featuring lyrics from the new tune. Taken from the HATW interview with Sam, they’ve added this note explaining the meaning behind the motif:

“Wildfire’ is about the constant battles that we all have inside of ourselves. How we can literally be one step away from packing it all in but we know that we are ‘meant for something more’. I wrote it because I’ve had my fair share of the moments and it’s terrifying but I also know that we, as people, have the ability to be strong and to make something of ourselves, even if we don’t realise it. Every action and every breath we take is important, it may not seem or feel like it sometimes, but it is. We all just need to remember that from time to time.”

Bag this tote and more by shopping with HATW safe in the knowledge you’re contributing to the future.

Royal Blood’s Call To Arms On Ticket Touting

Alt-rock duo, Royal Blood, have taken a very considered approach to tackling the ever present issue of ticket touts.

According to DIY Magazine, the band are asking fans to sign a petition to curb the secondary ticket market where tickets are bought in bulk and sold on at a much higher price. Once it hits 100,000 signatures will be considered for debate in Parliament.

It’s important to note that this is a case for reselling with a huge mark-up and not targeting fans trying to resell their tickets at face value.

Although this campaign only calls for harsher sanctions on ticket touts, it will no doubt open up the conversation around merch touts and bootleggers outside venues as well.

Sign the petition now.
