Teaming up with icons of illustration is nothing new for Vans and I’m really excited about their latest collaboration. On this turn, they fly the kite for everyone’s favourite underdog squad, allowing them a whole new time to shine.
ICYMI (how??), here’s a little scoop on Snoopy…
Peanuts started life as a comic strip launched in October 2nd 1950, and ran to February 13th 2000 written and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz. The friends stole the hearts of millions worldwide running in over 2,600 newspapers reaching an impressive readership of 355 million, and being animated into Emmy award winning TV specials. The format Schultz paved the way for the four-panel comic strip still used now in publications worldwide.
Not bad for a bunch of kids lead by a meek and mild protagonist who couldn’t fly a kite, kick a football or win a baseball game.
The Vans x Peanuts collection features Old Skool Classics, High Tops and Slip Ons complete with Snoopy, Woodstock and the gang referencing a variety of their sweet and iconic situations created by Schultz. Renowned for the themes and social commentary running through all their episodes, it seems like ideal timing for this collection to drop.
What do we want…

With New Found Glory’s 20 Years Of Pop Punk tour announced yesterday kicking things off, safe to say it’s a solid start for live music and it’s only Tuesday. This morning the announcement of a Rancid, Gogol Bordello and The Hives joining a back to form Green Day for their show at BST’s Hyde Park on Saturday 1st July was nothing short of huge.
Where there is live there is merch so it would be wrong not to allow the excitement to bubble over into a neat list of shit to stock your wardrobes with ahead of time. See you in the pit!

Slightly askew to our normal topic of choice but give a shit. Might As Well have pulled together one hell of a charity compilation collective.
Might As Well was set up in London to put on charity all dayers. With two under their belt already, rumour has it they are currently lining up Might As Well Fest 3 for Spring 2017.
Mizaru Kikazaru Iwazaru are the embodiment of see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil so quite fitting for these three compilations and if you ask me, the artwork lends itself rather perfectly to a t-shirt. Just saying.
The compilations were conceived and created to raise money for Stop Hate UK with a little help from Holy Roar, Xtra Mile, Alcopop and Speaking Tongues. The compilations feature wicked artists like Ducking Punches, The Gospel Youth, Drones, Giants, Johnny Foreigner, Rob Lynch, The Capital…the list goes on.
Head to the Might As Well Bandcamp to purchase all three!
Yes, thanks to the forthcoming album from LA-super punks Descendents and their collaboration with California pizza gurus, Pizzanista is firmly in our eye.
Offering much more than sweet pies and free refills, Pizzanista have stretched out into the world of pizza-themed spin-offs taking on and working with the Greats of music and skate worlds, including Bad Brains, The Rolling Stones and of course, their fromage to Dog Town is the upper crust of world play.
Enough about that, let’s talk Hypercaffium Spazzinate.
Descendents are the latest to roll out with Pizzainsta and their sick limited edition pizza box of gut busting treats will be available to order from July 29th in-store and online.
The Hypercaffium Spazzinate collab features one Large cheese or pepperoni pizza, the ridiculous Descendenista tee and Descendenista pizza box. Understandly/sadly, only merch can be ordered online, if you want the pizza get yourself down to your nearest Pizzanista spot tomorrow.
Legendary rock & metal label, Roadrunner Records have added official merch their online store for the first time.
Check out what is likely the first in a long line of clobber from the label right here. See you in the pit!
After years retreating back to the hardcore fans after its late 90s Game Boy heyday, summer 2016 belongs to Pokémon. Pokémon Go has taken the world by storm (it is the largest mobile game EVER in the US within weeks), and both both Nintendo and the Pokémon company look set to have a bumper 2016 due to the huge global success of the AR game (that hasn’t launched in the UK officially yet).
We’re big Pokémon fans here at Merch Mouth, and there’s little doubt that Pokémon have been masters of merchandising since day one. Starting out life as an RPG, Pokémon soon took over the world with trading cards, a TV show and movies, and anything you could think to merchandise has probably been done (twice). It seems only appropriate that the resurgence of pins has led to what can only be described as “the motherload” of awesome Pokémon pins being made up. Be prepared to drain your wallets on our top 5 from the official store (if you live in the US, that is).
Gyarados and Magikarp
Starter Pokémon 4 pack
Jolteon and Flareon
Pichu and Togepi
Gotta browse ’em all
Now… where on earth is the UK store?
Yep, Biffy Clyro’s brand new album “Ellipsis” is released on July 8th and, naturally, some merch has been created to reflect the essence of the forthcoming release. These are the things we think will look great on you.
Spiral Zip Hoodie
Block Logo T-Shirt
Exception Tote Bag
