Royal Blood’s Call To Arms On Ticket Touting

Alt-rock duo, Royal Blood, have taken a very considered approach to tackling the ever present issue of ticket touts.

According to DIY Magazine, the band are asking fans to sign a petition to curb the secondary ticket market where tickets are bought in bulk and sold on at a much higher price. Once it hits 100,000 signatures will be considered for debate in Parliament.

It’s important to note that this is a case for reselling with a huge mark-up and not targeting fans trying to resell their tickets at face value.

Although this campaign only calls for harsher sanctions on ticket touts, it will no doubt open up the conversation around merch touts and bootleggers outside venues as well.

Sign the petition now.

Walk A Mile In Mario’s Shoes

After successfully mastering Star Wars, Disney and The Beatles, now Vans are teaming up with yet another pop culture icon in a range of sneakies due to drop this summer. This collaboration is set to be more fun than dodging koopers in the raccoon suit.

According to Sole Collector the new range from this equally iconic duo is coming in June 2016. It will feature mostly 8-bit graphics in a typically Vans twisted range includes high-tops and low riders.

Teasers have made their way online but if the rumors are true, expect some extra bits to be added as time passes.

Hello Kitty Cafe Coming To London (Yes, there will be merch!)

It’s a Christmas miracle! Londoners can experience the “happiest time in the world” because Hello Kitty is coming to London to have afternoon tea with all her friends.

Running from June 1st through August, the infamous Sanrio creation will host a “secret garden Hello Kitty paradise” with Soho bakery Cutter & Squidge bringing the treats. Customers can order such delicacies as Mama’s Home-Made Apple Pie Biskie, Kitty’s Mud Pie Chocolate Dream Cake, and a special afternoon tea presented in Japanese bamboo steamers. YUM!

Annabel Lui, co-owner of Cutter & Squidge, said:

“We are beyond excited to be the first European Café to host this beloved character.

The US venues have seen up to 2,000 people waiting in line for five hours to experience her world and we are looking forward to witnessing similar scenes here in our Secret Garden. Our only worry is that the range will be too cute to eat!”

That might just be the best reason to worry we’ve ever heard!

The kawaii theme runs deeper than super cute tummy fillers though as limited edition Hello Kitty merchandise will be available to buy at the first EU iteration of the kawaii cafe, along with a range of new flavours, baking kits, soft-serve ice cream and vegetarian marshmallows. Hopefully previews will make their way online soon as we can’t wait to see the range in full and level up the adorable factor in our lives.

To book, call Cutter & Squidge on 020 7734 2540. Demand is expected to be sky high, but there will also be some spaces reserved for walk-ins.

To get you in the mood here are the five best Hello Kitty products Sanria have to offer. In our opinion anyway…
